Public Works Department must pay employee $35,538 in overtime lawsuit

According to this case, Supervisor Daniel Schoen Sr. will be paid $7,156 in overtime pay and his attorney will receive $28,382. His attorney stated that, “although Schoen, a current employee, is the department’s supervisor, much of his work is labor, which by law warrants overtime.” According to federal law, overtime is a requirement for all employees unless you are an executive employee.
