A new overtime settlement has been reached with 1,500 home health aides. The aides will share in a $1.1 million settlement in their class action suit which claimed their employer failed to pay them overtime despite working sixty hours a week for several weeks. Current and former employees of the home health agency will each receive a share of the settlement based on their overtime hours that they failed to receive pay for as required by state law. The settlement will also prohibit the home health agency from retaliating against employees who complain about hours and wages.
